IERULicenseManagerThis interface is provided to manage eRoom license information. RemarksSites with no licenses are trial sites, and expire (become read-only) 30 days after their creation. The trial period can be extended by adding "trial extender licenses", each of which extends the trial period by 7 days. There is no limit on the number of user accounts that can be created during a trial period. When enough "real" licenses are added to a site to cover the number of users in the facility, any trial extender licenses are deleted, and the facility is no longer considered a trial facility. Compatibility IssuesPrior to V7, licensing was done at the facility level. As of V7, licensing occurs at the site level. As with earlier versions of eRoom, licenses are consumed once a user has logged in the first time. In V5, the members who have never logged into an eRoom do not take up licenses. This allows facility administrators to add a larger poll of potential members than they have licenses, when they know only some of them are going to use eRoom, but not which ones. The license manager takes the potential and actual members into account, so some of the properties might give different results from V4. |
